The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition has just received a major update, which brings some of the enhancements from the mobile port to the console and PC versions.
According to a report by Rockstar Intel, GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition received an update for Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Epic Games, and Rockstar Games Launcher today. For those wondering, GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition consists of GTA San Andreas, GTA Vice City, and GTA III. The update sizes for all games differ according to the platform.
One of the most requested features from the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition mobile port has been made available to consoles and PCs in this update. The feature is called ‘Classic Lighting’, and with this toggle, players can bring back “the look and feel of the sky in the original games”. To access this feature, head to ‘Settings’, click ‘Graphics’, and then turn on the ‘Classic Lighting’ toggle.
Moreover, the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition update also brings other improvements. Firstly, there have been some enhancements to character models, with the swimming animations feeling more natural. Players can now shoot while running in GTA III and Vice City. Street lights are now orange and have received a flare to feel like the original games. Lastly, Grove Street Games are now only mentioned in the game’s end credits.
In other news, Take Two isn’t worried about GTA 6 performance on the Xbox Series S. Also, the parent company will not release Borderlands 4 and GTA 6 close to each other. What are your thoughts on GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition’s new update? Let us know in the comments or our new community forum!
