GTA 6 Could Release in 2024, According to Take-Two

During Take-Two’s annual investor call and financial update, comments were made that clearly suggested GTA 6 could surface as soon as 2024. It’s difficult to see how anything else could have been alluded to in the comments made by Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, long-time developer of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Following a record-breaking year for Take-Two in terms of financial performance, even loftier goals have been put in place for the year ahead, specifically for the fiscal year 2024 – 2025. It was reported that there are certain things happening in that period that would change the face of the company for the better and one of those things is supposedly the launch of GTA 6.

Will GTA 6 Release in 2024?

It’s possible.

In the statement handed down during the annual earnings call, it was quite clearly stated:

Looking ahead, fiscal 2025 is a highly anticipated year for our company. For the last several years, we have been preparing our business to release an incredibly robust pipeline of projects that we believe will take our company to even greater levels of success. In fiscal 2025, we expect to enter this new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve over $8 billion in net bookings.

Well, let’s take a look at that statement, shall we? There has been something major in the pipeline that has been worked on for several years, there are some ‘groundbreaking titles’ on the horizon, and there are beliefs that these titles will enable Take-Two to achieve ‘over $8 billion’ in net bookings.

To put that into perspective, Take-Two reported that the last year was a record high, with the company netting $5.3 billion. So, what kind of games can we think of that would pull in that kind of money for the company? How about another instalment in the series that, last time it launched, secured $1 billion in just three days?

It’s worth establishing that ‘fiscal 2025’ is the year running from 2024 to 2025, which could now be our expected release window for Grand Theft Auto 6.

But wait, there’s more!

As the statement points out, there are ‘groundbreaking titles’, plural. That means that there’s more than just another Grand Theft Auto game up Take-Two’s sleeve – we’ll have to spend the next few months writhing over what they could be.
