According to a new report by Dealabs, reliable leaker billbil-kun claimed that God of War Ragnarok is getting a PC announcement sometime soon.
The report estimates that the PC version will be “announced sometime in May 2024,” loosely translated. It adds that the announcement could arrive during a new PlayStation showcase, which is also possibly coming this month.
Dealabs also mentions that it could not confirm a release date for God of War Ragnarok’s PC version, though it points out the original’s 2022 launch date.
God of War Ragnarok is one of PlayStation’s most prized exclusive titles. However, PlayStation will release Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for PC next week on May 16. So, there is a precedent for similar plans.
Despite some mixed feelings about PSN, Ghost of Tsushima’s new PC version will surprisingly include both PlayStation trophies and an overlay. It’s unclear if these PC features will extend to a title like God of War Ragnarok.
Billbil-kun has successfully leaked a variety of industry news and other imminent announcements. This includes the Death Stranding 2 claims from January 2024. Soon after, Death Stranding 2 did get a new story trailer.
So, it is very likely that the God of War Ragnarok announcement is coming. However, nothing is confirmed, and PlayStation did not officially tease or reveal anything yet.
The God of War series continues to thrive, and a live-action series is even in the works, first revealed during Sony’s CES 2024 panel.
