God of War Ragnarök DLC to be Announced This Year, Report Claims

A new report has claimed that a God of War Ragnarök DLC will be announced later this year, possibly at The Game Awards.

The news comes courtesy of Spanish outlet Areajugones, which has previously reported on accurate leaks in the past.

According to the outlet, the news comes from “sources close to Sony” that claim that the DLC could come as its own standalone game, somewhat similar to Spider-Man Miles Morales.

The report outlines that its sources are unclear on how the DLC will be announced, but theorized that all signs point to an announcement at this year’s The Game Awards. The Game Awards will be live on December 7, 2023, and generally does feature several major announcements and reveals from the industry.

Rumors of a DLC for God of War Ragnarök have been rampant these past few months, and now with Areajugones claim, it does add weight to the rumours. Insider Gaming has reached out to its sources for information and has asked Sony for official comment in regards to the report.

God of War Ragnarök received universal acclaim on its release and as of September 2023 has sold 11 million units.

Sony is yet to officially announce any spin-off game or DLC for God of War Ragnarök.
