Ghost of Yotei Revealed For PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro

Ghost of Yotei has been revealed by Sucker Punch, four years after the first game was released. In the game’s first trailer, we get a look at an almost ‘Western-themed’ title, with the protagonist roaming free across open plains alongside wild horses, joining forces with animals, and utilising a ‘hunter’ persona to take on all comers.

Another Ghost

In 2020, Ghost of Tsushima was released exclusively on PlayStation 4, bringing players a unique samurai experience that played like an Assassin’s Creed game. In a vast open world, users assumed control of Jin Sakai, a fallen samurai on a path of revenge and redemption – but to get there, he must abandon his honourable principles.

Now, another instalment is lined up in the form of Ghost of Yotei, coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro in 2025.

Here’s the trailer for Ghost of Yotei:

It’ll be set in 1603, almost 400 years after Ghost of Tsushima, which was set in 1274. With that in mind, Ghost of Yotei will feature some more modern technology, such as primitive firearms.

Could Ghost of Yotei completely destabilise Assassin’s Creed: Shadows? Let us know what you think in the comments.

  • The SIE is aiming to release it’s 2025 lineup in a parallel, which is I believe are going to be in the June – late of Summer 2025. DS2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yohei, Marathon and may be until the ending of 2025, we see the release of FairGame$.
There are any element of surprise?

  • This looks the same as the last game it looks last gen. It took them this long to make this? The game looks meh honestly it’s a pass. Sparking Zero for this year and hopefully they give us what we want for DLC after the first wave and maybe GTA 6 does what it needs to. This game won’t compete with GTA 6 and Mafia next year.

  • No one wanted this they wanted a direct sequel with the first main character not this! Why even do this? I’m curious now is Spider-Man 3 going to be Miles solo game with Silk and no Peter? Same with God Of War is Atreus going to be the main now since they’ve ruined Kratos it’ll be him and the giant.

  • I like that it’s a female lead and takes place years later it can offer things from a different perspective and show some of the lesser known aspects of Japanese history such as homosexual relationships between men during this time as well as men and young boys such as samurai and Buddhist monks who tended to initiate rituals on their apprentices by performing sexual acts on them. Having this from the view point of a woman would offer a much different grasp on it. This game would also help the LGBTQIA+ community especially MAP’s.

  • No thank you anyone who doesn’t want this game there’s nothing wrong with you anyone who does by all means go ahead won’t stop you but I don’t trust Sony. Where Winds Meet looks cool so I’ll check that instead.
