Gearbox Publishing’s New Name Is Arc Games

Gearbox Publishing officially has a new name: Arc Games.

The studio made the announcement on Monday afternoon via social media. And while the name may be new, it’s expected to be business as usual for the San Francisco-based publisher.

“We’re the same team of passionate gamers that brought you many beloved franchises,” Arc Games said in the post. “…we can’t wait to bring you even more exciting titles like Gigantic: Rampage Edition, Hyper Light Breaker, and more soon-to-be-announced games for 2025 and beyond.”

As part of the deal that saw Gearbox Entertainment sold to Take-Two Interactive, Embracer Group retained Gearbox Publishing along with games like Remnant and Remnant 2, Neverwinter, Have a Nice Death, and Star Trek Online.

To close out the statement, Arc Games teased Wednesday’s Triple i Initiative Showcase where more than 30 games will be shown during a 45-minute event. Insider Gaming will have full coverage of all the announcements during the showcase.
