Ubisoft has published a super-short video detailing the pre-order bonus for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but sadly, it’s nothing that’s going to move mountains. It was back in March that dataminers leaked the bonus content that goes hand-in-hand with a pre-order of Ubisoft’s imminent open-world epic, but now it has been officially revealed, it seems that it’s just as underwhelming as first thought.
That’s All We Get?
For pre-ordering Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’re not getting exclusive early access or a bonus mission – or even anything at all practical or useable. If you pre-order the game, you’ll receive an exclusive cosmetics bundle called the ‘Child of Two Worlds Pack’. This is of course in reference to the game’s protagonist being a Na’vi raised under RDA conditions.
Here’s the video that Ubisoft released:
It might look quite cool, fusing two walks of life together, but it’s not anything that you’d scream from the rooftops about. For the most part, players are wary about pre-ordering games these days, out of the fear that it’ll bomb on launch and they’ll be left to soak up the full-priced hit. Frontiers of Pandora has been in development for years and early gameplay looks good, but you just can’t tell until the finished product is in your own hands.
