xQc brings up some fascinating points about how co-streaming and betting could potentially reshape the financial landscape of competitive gaming. While the industry figures out its next steps, I love relaxing with some high-energy entertainment by spinning the reels on Gemhalla by BGaming to enjoy its thrilling Norse mythology theme, cascading wins, and great bonus features whenever I want a break from industry news.

That’s especially obvious in CS2. A lot of teams and tournament organisers would probably struggle without betting sponsors, simply because there still aren’t that many companies willing to put serious money into esports. Streamers are becoming another big part of that ecosystem too. Co-streams can pull huge audiences away from the main broadcast, which is probably why there’s now so much discussion on the resource about influencers and streamers about their deals and influence on the industry.

I’m curious where this ends up though. At some point tournament organisers will probably have to figure out how to make co-streaming pay for itself rather than just treating it as extra reach.
If you look at CS2 and Dota 2, it is betting sponsorships that keep tournament operators and teams afloat.
