Why'd you guys think PS VITA "failed"?

Given the enormous success of Switch & Steamdeck today... It shouldn't have right?

Or is this a matter of wrong place, wrong time?

Did PS3 has got anything to do with like maybe it divided focus from Sony & support from consumers?

Should they make PSP3 next since nowadays it's arguably the Golden Age of gaming on-the-go.

Timing and pricing. The memory cards here were almost the same price as the actual machine.

Timing is the biggest factor. The world wasn't ready for a premium handheld then (its barely ready now)

But yeah, the memory cards were mad. 32 GB locally was the same price as the OLED model for a while in South Africa

Yup, and most stores stopped keeping them
