Why won't EA just re-release / remaster BAD COMPANY 1&2 if they don't wanna do a third game?

I know for sure it ain't just me like there's gotta be tons of BF fans who wanna revisit these 2 games.

Additionally fresh eyes & sales to those who haven't.

If I'm not mistaken the new BF games didn't sell as well as their COD rivals right? Maybe this is the way they could mitigate this; release BC 1&2 to get more interest.

Also didn't COD guys did it to CODMW 1&2 remaster (MW2 only campaign tho) so how come none of BF suit guys brought this up in any of their board meetings. 🤔

More than a decade ago before my launch 360 got RROD (I had it for like less than 2 months or so lol) I got to play BC1 & it's
so good. One of the main hooks the game got me is the destructible environments & IIRC offline splitscreen multiplayer.

If they can't release those for whatever reason (i.e. engine issue, licensing, etc) then just make a #3 Bad Company please! 🙏 🥺 🤞

I don't know how EA looks at remasters or remakes as Dead Space Remake didn't quite meet their expectations, which makes me incredibly sad because Dead Space 2 is my favorite.

I honestly would love a big MCC style re-release of every BF with modding tools included for every BF pre-BF3.

I mean for BF Portal they should've just done BC1/BC2 remade in there than doing 1942/BC2/BF3 and focused on doing something.

Wanna play Dead Space too bro! Sadly don't have a PS5 yet 😔

Wait didn't the remake have good reviews & such? You mean EA wasn't satisfied with it saleswise?

By the way you know Calisto Protocol? That game is Dead Spacey right? Is that worth checking out?

Thanks Dood.

Dude for real.

The series has tons of potential & EA has obviously resources to pull it off but unfortunately they seem to focused on microstransactions first & content second, I feel.

IMO the Battlefield always playing catch-up with Call of Duty, at least in previous gen & current.

They could choose to be completely different like open-world offline, sandbox, destructible stuff, etc.

But nope... Just seems always riding COD coatails. 😒

The ironic problem is that BF3 really emphasised the series being a CoD competitor was the problem because people jumped on that and assume BF is about 3 lane maps, run and gun combat etc. I mean people forget like every post-launch BF3 map except Close Quarters was bigger on average and a lot more pathing to them (compare Aftermath BF3 maps Vs BF3 launch urban maps). And that BF3 maps where like never designed for 64 players on launch mostly (Noshrar Canals having fighter jets was weird).

Honestly I do wish BF was split up back properly with Bad Company as one line of titles focusing on a more arcadey, light hearted game while mainline focuses on more tactical, larger scale gameplay with a more serious tone. But I fear the "all hands on deck" is going to set crazy commercial expectations and people thinking it'll be the best thing since sliced bread. After 2042 I would've done a less risky BC3 that could've came out slightly early with less expectations (especially commercially) and more focused and refined scope of gameplay (again, arcadey, light hearted Battlefield experience).

I expect the next BF title to release in a good state (low bar) but they're pinning way too much to solve everything because the BF brand is absolutely ruined and "back to basics" faces the same problem that Halo: Infintie had; "Back to basics" just makes people go "eh" after playing it and getting bored of it. I think people who play FPSes outside CoD want something more complex, people who just want to pick up and play, find the fun instantly are going to stick to CoD due to the market changing a lot. Convicing players to switch Battle pass ecosystems with forever games is very, very hard.
