The "CLEAN" Thread: Let's help one another clean our consoles, PC, gadgets, etc. especially those non-techie like me :)

I'm guilty I haven't done some legit internal cleaning with my PS4 (only light brushing outside).

Reason for this is I'm too scared I might break something inside & won't be reassemble it easily or even if I did it won't power on anymore .

When I had first Xbox, PS1-2 same thing never touched them inside. Didn't notice any problem then & now.

Sometimes my hands are shaky too haha

Bringing it to a electronics clean shop opens a whole new can of worms; I don't trust shops with stuff like this easily (long story short previous laptop kept breaking even after multiple shop guy "fix" = too much money spent & wasted time).

I don't know if any guy can help me about it lol I mean I know I just gotta have the guts about it MYSELF; pop my PS4 open & just clean it thoroughly.

And as the greatest of all time Michael Jordan once said, "Just Do It".

I know for sure I should've done it long ago & if the machine can speak it'll tell me it needs a shower already. It's like that in Toy Story 3 that these things felt neglected or shoved aside when they are the ones who gave us joy & made us feel not alone...

Yet it's we who forgot about them really.

I hope someday soon I'll be brave enough to clean the console but tips & tricks from you guys would be most welcome tho.

Nice idea as yeah I don't do this enough... But the PS5/PS5 Slim/PS5 Pro is a lot easier to clean than the PS4 etc. as you can use a vacuum cleaner and other easy stuff to use to clean it and you don't really have to remove anything to clean it besides the fan inside of it which is easy to put back in place after cleaning it... Which is a nice thing that Sony has done this generation with the PS5/PS5 Slim/PS5 Pro!

I think I remember playing Death Stranding when I got it first time that's when I actually noticed it. Could it be game to game basis? I don't hear it as loud tho when playing similar demanding games such as Tsushima, Elden, etc.

My system is circa 2015 too so maybe that's another factor like the components are slowly giving out

Yeah the fan on the PS3 and PS4 isn't easy to clean compared to the PS5... But yes even the PS5 needs to be cleaned at least once a month or maybe a week if you can do it. So it's a thing that I'll have to do soon maybe... But it's all good so far though so I don't have to worry about it really... But will have to do something about it soon though.

2015? Well my PS4 is from 2014... But luckily so didn't I play the very demanding games on it or else so would it have sounded like an airplane or jet or something lmao. But yeah I feel like even the PS5 will maybe start been kind of loud once the very demanding games are out in like 3-4 years and the PS5 Pro should be less worse but then yeah it's time to get a PS6 by 2028 or 2029 for sure!

But yes it's very important to take care of and clean the consoles etc. that you do use every day or week so that they can stay working and not be very loud and noisy
