OFFICIAL: PlayStation State of Play Reaction Thread - September 24, 2024

Ghost of Yotei. Didn't expect gameplay 😍 looks very nice. And for liking nice graphics, probably I will buy the Horizon upgrade. And good to hear Last of Us Part 1 Remake is coming to PS Plus!
 
I was very surprised by Ghost of Yotei, specifically the direction Sucker Punch decided to go with narratively.

Expect this to be quite polarising for players from now till release & maybe even after lol

As legit superfan of the game, objectively speaking I see this positive actually; they can do this game for everyone to enjoy AND make a direct sequel to Jin eventually.

I think this is a smart move. Opening up the series as a Ghost game rather than Jin Sakai game. SP can potentially expand beyond Japan even which could make this a more direct competitor to AC.

That's what I thought too dude.

Seen the title from the trailer right? There's more emphasis now on "Ghost" & it's bigger font.

So many choices & history-rich possiblities like those places AC have done but also those they haven't like Korea, etc.

Remember what I told in GOT Movie thread about having a lead female character in the movie, guess I was correct in only in the opposite way lmaooo

It's very possible Atsu has ties to Yuna as well like maybe she trained a descendant of hers or something.

My theory tho? Atsu, the main lead of Yotei, is related to Ryuzo somehow because both are Ronin warriors.

Mike does it mean that Sony will announce Days Gone remaster any moment or days now? Is TGS multiple days tho? Or in another event?

Just my two cents is that Days Gone does NOT need a remaster because its got one already on PS5 if I'm not mistaken.

We do need a sequel tho that's for sure!
 
I was somewhat satisfied with SoP because I wasn't expecting anything special, it's a show related to TGS where there are several games from Asia and I had one of the most anticipated IPs, Ghost of Yotei is really a good way and we can have more benefits from a new period, new characters, new weapons, etc. than if they did a new story with Jin, but nothing else.
 
Mediocre showcase for me personally saved only because of the Ghost of Yotei reveal. Only other game of any interest was Dragon Age: The Veilguard which more and more is looking like my 2024 game of the year. 😂
