New Information for Insomniac Games' Future

According to a source, Sony is planning to announce Marvel's Venom in the upcoming State of Play event while the bigger Marvel's Wolverine is holding the place for another revealment in Summer of 2025.

At least in late of 2023, Insomniac Games has plans to release three DLCs for the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 which are unknown to be still in the working or not. In the other hand, studio is aiming 2028 for a fully-fledged sequel and 2029 for the next installment of Ratchet and Clank titles, which is probable to be a PS6 exclusive. However, as we know, the Venom standalone sequel is still targeting a Q3/Q4 2025 release date.

I hope it's a good game so I'll get it too besides the regular Spider-Man games!

Honestly the avatar pic was just a screenshot I have on my camera roll haha although he was the coolest part of Spidey 2 for me.

Carnage makes sense I think. I assume they wouldn’t save him for the third game since they teased something else and also they probably don’t want to do the symbiote thing again?

Yep I'm with you on that, symbiote brawl would be wicked. If they are going to use Silk I don't think it'll be as a main protagonist, more of a sidekick role.
 
However, what is the source? It seems like a simple idea taken from last year's Insomniac leaks and made to catch "a logic". Don't expect to see VENOM or Wolverine at the next SoP, Sony rarely shows a game that doesn't have a release date in the same year (DS2 is a lucky case)
 
Sony was announced DS2 at The Game Awards 2023, Rise of Ronin in 2021, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart in 2020, Returnal in 2020 and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in 2021. I said, Wolverine's gameplay reveal is currently set for Summer 2025. For VENOM, the development hasn't hit by the leaks so the game still saves it's place for September/October 2025.

If we are going to see a trailer for Venom, we will most likely not see it at a SoP at TGS, it is a game that will be revealed either at a show as we hope to be on December 3, or at TGA after the movie comes out. Sony what they announced in the past was already in development for many years and it was the launch time, Venom probably won't even be in 2025.
 
Based on the things I heard, the Marvel's VENOM and Marvel's Wolverine's development
has not hit efficiently from the leaks, when the Lethal Protector (if there isn't any name changing) releases in 2025, it's a golden opportunity to release the Wolverine in 2026.
The game is still in the development as it will connect the plot of MS2 to Wolverine to MS3 and in finale, X-Men.

They are focusing on both Marvel's VENOM (as an standalone 10-15h experience) and Marvel's Wolverine. I think the Wolverine's one is going to be a linear experience rather than Spider Man open world.
 
I hope the leaked or rumored date of 2026 is wrong and we get it in 2025. But if they need to take their sweet time, to well, make it sweet, that is great too.
 
It is in the production stage but for 2025, we won't get it. They indeed are entering into the final stages...
