I've always wondered how come Nintendo haven't collaborated yet with Studio Ghibli to make anime games & vice versa.

I mean it just makes perfect sense for both parties.

With Nintendo's expertise in building worlds & gameplay, it's a perfect match for the wonderful characters & engrossing stories from Ghibli.

Like a Zelda OVA would be amazing to watch & a Howl's Moving Castle would be fun to play, among other things.

Sounds like an amazing idea... But dunno if it'll ever happen... Maybe someday? I guess we'll have to wait and see!

To be honest I haven't played neither 1 or 2 but I've always wanna.

Have you? Only seen it from review videos but what stuff you like in either games like exploration, side quests, etc?

No I haven't played any of them... But I've always thought that they looked very cool though!

Totally dude same here but I just saw that interestingly enough the original has turn based combat...


...while the sequel has an action one.


I wonder why the devs changed the battle system.

Hmm dunno... But I hope it'll get a sequel and it'll be like how the fans want it to be.
 
I think both parties like to have complete creative control so they won't mix very well.

Reminds me of the Links awakening remake intro, so gorgeous

Same here dude I mean the world needs more JRPGs.

Tho judging by the timeline from first game (2011) to the sequel (2017), the third game should be out not later than 2025 so... It doesn't look like it tho since there hasn't been any sort of announcement from Level 5 but fingers crossed they're about to!

That makes sense too bro I mean especially Nintendo they're so very super duper protective of their IPs, for better or worse lol

By the way what do you think of the upcoming live-action adaptation of Zelda? Thoughts on the director Nintendo picked & you think a movie is a good way to do it or should they shift course to make it a TV series like Game of Thrones, etc?

I hope so... But it seems like it won't be revealed this year but maybe hopefully in 2025!
 
For the same reason we never got another game liek Chronno Trigger, getting a collaboration with people like Miyazaki would be too much of a work

Yeah dude for real & RIP to DBZ godfather Toriyama-san 😔

Chrono Trigger has got to be one of the most wish listed things when it comes to modern day remake. I wonder why Square can't do it either it's licensing thing (they did re-releases Chrono Cross rigth? Or is that unrelated?) or as you said too much work from scratch.

Remember FF7 remakes took over a decade or so right some thought it's just gonna be PS3 tech demo vaporware lol
