With a lot of E-Sports games they do tend to have peaks and valleys.
Not sure if it is necessarily dead, maybe just one or two big updates away from being back in the limelight. It won't be dead until it stops being supported and played. As long as you're still getting good viewers and more importantly players coming in, it'll keep ticking.
I'd say something like Overwatch fell off harder and they're still managing to get folks into e-sports. So unless Siege does something really stupid, it'll be fine.

No way, look at the start of the year - the Six Invitational reached an all-time high in terms of viewership and that rolled on into the following tournaments quite nicely. Ubisoft isn't leaving this game alone for years to come and is constantly working to improve it. Like any game, it'll ebb and flow, but it's really solid right now. I was at the BLAST R6 Manchester Major, and it was electric in the crowd. I'm looking forward to Montreal coming up, too.
