Favorite Movies Franchises?

I love Star Wars. I could watch any of them, anytime and I can’t wait for the next slate of movies that will bring Star Wars back to the big screen starting in 2026.

Also, Matt Reeves Batman universe is off to an incredible start. Wish we didn’t have to wait so long for the sequel.

What are some of your favorite movie universes? If you can’t think of any then feel free to drop some of your favorite standalone films 🙂
 
Without a doubt my favorite movies are The Pianist and The Shawshank Redemption, I watch them every year.

That’s great! I love movies that become must watches at least once a year. Becomes a tradition of sorts.

I saw it yesterday for the first time, it's a very good movie and it didn't take long, I might see the sequel tonight.

Third one comes out later this year as well so that’s cool.
 
I honestly don't know if I have a favorite franchise. I've never been big on movies. I'll watch them if something really catches my eye, but there's never been something that became a love of mine
 
Tough to choose just one franchise, but The Lord of the Rings is probably at the top for me - both the original trilogy and the new Amazon series are so immersive. Also a big fan of Nolan’s Batman universe; it set the bar really high. I totally get the hype around Star Wars too, especially with the upcoming releases. Curious if anyone else here is into sci-fi outside of Star Wars, like Dune or Blade Runner?
