First, thanks for posting and joining us. While you may feel that way, I can assure you it's not our intent. We direct users to the forums to comment on the biggest stories in order to continue to grow our community. There is nothing being suppressed as the forums are free to join and comment on.
Yeah this needs to be done in order to make the forum side of IG grow... And well it's nice been here and been part of it so I would say this is the best way to comment and express yourself without any distractions or anything else standing in the way plus even if it's enabled there so won't making a post there be as good as here as it'll be a very limited thing there or not have all of the features the posting system the forum has. But yeah I don't think there's any bad intentions OP and it's just the IG team wanting you to join us here on the IG forums!
"We encourage users to comment on the biggest stories in the forums to help grow our community." However, this is precisely my point: by directing us there, you are not allowing me to express myself freely and openly regarding the specific post that I read and am interested in.
Yeah and in this case so must everybody have an IG account as IG isn't a site without a forum anymore.
