I've played and enjoyed both Zero Dawn and Forbidden West but I've not felt like hungry for more afterward. Like once credits rolled on Zero Dawn I was pleased with what I had played, but I didn't outright love all of it. Same with Forbidden West, I was satisfied but that was it.Idk why but I never liked horizon for some reason like I always tried to like it but never felt the same feeling.. Probably the only game where I tried to like it but yeah.
This is kinda the reality of major game development. Pretty sure there were leaks around Hogwarts Legacy for YEARS before they officially revealed itThis MP project has been in the works for so long, makes me think it's actually in development hell

Fire.Imagine a Killzone remake or a game with Decima
I've never really understood the thought process of "X game will be the last one I buy because I want them to do something else".Honestly, I'm sorry for Guerrilla that they only stayed with Horizon as an IP and don't have any other games planned, I understand that the IP sold and probably became very important for Sony, but I think that forcing it everywhere doesn't make them any more well, personally I'm a fan of Horizon, but the next game that I hope will close the series will be the last one that I will buy no matter what comes out, I want something else from them.
It's just that if you end up taking out only 1 single IP for a very long time without having anything else it becomes boring no matter how good it is or not, Horizon is an interesting universe, I like the game, but I don't want to stay with the idea that Guerrilla is just that he knows how to do it because we know that they can do something else with Killzone behind them and they certainly have teams capable of such a thing. TLOU could not release Part II and people were happy anyway if they made another IP, it ended nicely, Part II was necessary or not, it doesn't stop them from having something else, having multiple projects not exclusively on TLOU.I've never really understood the thought process of "X game will be the last one I buy because I want them to do something else".
I love the Horizon games and if 20 years from now they are releasing Horizon 8 I'll probably buy it. If you enjoy a game/universe and the studio wants to keep making them why wouldn't you like that?
The Last of Us is a good example. Did the first game need a sequel? No. But ND felt they had a story compelling enough to make one. Does there need to be a Part III? No. Both games stand on their own and together form a great story. But if ND comes out and says our next game is Part III... It's a day 1 buy.
If studios believe they have a story to tell let them.
I dont think so. A dev build got leaked and it seems fine but I dont think there has been any rumors of it going through a dev hell. This MP project has been in the works for so long, makes me think it's actually in development hell
