Fortnite Teases The Arrival of Miles Morales

It looks like the next Fortnite’s next crossover is a lot closer than we thought after a brief teaser hinted at the arrival of multiverse traveling web-slinger, Miles Morales.

Epic Games took to the official Fortnite Twitter account to ask “Miles…Where are you!?” alongside a short video which features the glitching effect associated with the Spider-Verse animated film series. It’s likely that Miles’ appearance in Fortnite is set to tie with the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse next month.

There’s no indication as of yet as to when Miles could be joining the game but we’d wager it’ll be after the current Star Wars-themed event “Find the Force” wraps up. The event is scheduled to run until May 23 so Miles could leap into Fortnite at either the end of May or the very beginning of June to fully capitalize on the excitement surrounding Enter the Spider-Verse.

The highly anticipated sequel will pick up after the events of “Into the Spider-Verse” and will once again follow Miles Morales and Gwen on a journey to save the multiverse itself with the help of a whole society of Spider-Man variants led by his future counterpart Miguel O’Hara, otherwise known as Spider-Man 2099.

With the introduction of Miles Morales right off the back of a Star Wars crossover, Epic Games is clearly looking to drive some serious momentum for Fortnite this year in a bid to make the game bigger than ever.

Another major addition coming to the game for the first time is Ranked Play which is set to release at some stage during Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3. It comes at just the right time as Fortnite is set to have a major presence at the Olympics Esports Series this year. The event is set to be held live in Singapore from the 22nd to the 25th of June.

Are you looking forward to seeing Miles Morales in Fortnite?
