Fresh content continues to drop in Fortnite, and there’s a fresh batch of Greatest Hits quests in Fortnite OG to tick off, offering valuable XP rewards, including a task to hit players while riding a Driftboard.
The Driftboard makes a long-awaited return to Fortnite OG this chapter, providing players with another way to traverse the island while still retaining the ability to shoot enemy players.
Naturally, that makes the Driftboard the ideal tool in the arsenal for players, and Insider Gaming has all the details on the Driftboard’s availability following some confusion that has spread among the community.
Driftboard Location in Fortnite OG
Driftboards are not available in Fortnite OG and can currently not be found anywhere on the island, likely due to a mistake by Epic Games.
Despite the Greatest Hits quest tasking players to hit enemies while riding a Driftboard, it’s impossible to complete the quest right now, as it is not available in the game. So, if you’ve been hunting high and low for the item, there’s a reason you haven’t been able to find it.
The Driftboard Greatest Hits quest is not the only one that appears to be bugged, as players have also reported quests are being completed randomly and are not tracking properly, so expect a slew of fixes in the next update.
When the Driftboard is added, it will be located randomly across the map, though there may be some guaranteed spawn points. As soon as Driftboards are available, this article will be updated.
When Will The Driftboard be Added to Fortnite
The next Fortnite update is expected to take place on January 9, bringing an end to Winterfest content, and this is when Driftboards will be added to the game.
Downtime will take place before the update is deployed, which could lead to the introduction of new content, but it’s clear there are also some bugs that need to be fixed.
It seems the latest batch of Greatest Hits quests in Fortnite OG became available too early, or were not properly checked, as it’s impossible to complete them all until the Driftboard is added.
