Prior to the announcement of Fortnite’s Chapter 3, Season 4 released, I reported on Twitter that Fortnite Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 5 will start on December 5th, 2022. Sources have said that this date remains accurate, with the season scheduled to start at 15:00 UTC.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 is scheduled to end on December 3rd, indicating that they’ll be around two days of downtime between seasons.

In addition to the news, sources have also implied that the next season is not part of a new chapter for Fortnite, instead, it’s a part of the existing Chapter 3.

The same sources, who have provided accurate information in the past for Fortnite, including the Dreamer and Starfire introductions, have said that there are at least eight individual collaborations “penciled in” for the rest of 2022.

Due to the nature of crossovers, which include the likes of contractual agreements, sources have said that exact details cannot yet be provided. One source, who wished to remain anonymous as they are not authorized to talk about confidential information said that the recent leaks have become a “logistical headache” for the team.

It’s understood that Epic Games has clamped down heavily on leaks these few months, with the studio resorting to only giving certain details to certain groups in order to track leaks. The method does indeed seem like a logistical headache, especially when the news seems to still trickle through.

It has been said though, that a majority of the leaks that have surfaced in recent months had “no weight to them”, implying that such collaborations were never in the works. “Fortnite is a powerhouse and I think that everyone expects everything to come to the game at some point and that’s not the case”, it was said.

Recent data mines have revealed that some form of a Star Wars collaboration could be coming again in the future, with updated code revealing two new lightsabers for Luke Skywalker.
