Fortnite First-Person Rumours Surface Once Again

It has been one of the most highly anticipated changes to Fortnite for a good couple of years now, and it seems that every few months, we see ‘fresh leaks’ concerning Fortnite’s first-person mode. With each new chapter, the Fortnite insiders creep out with fresh imagery and clips, but to this day, nothing solid has ever been added to the debate.

Hours ago, new images surfaced online that show a player using a first-person perspective in Fortnite, and for the most part, it looks buggy as all hell. There’s a lot of work to be done to give Fortnite its first-person capabilities, but it’s something that many players are eagerly awaiting.

First Party First Person

For a while, creators have been making use of Fortnite’s enhanced Creative platform to effectively build first-person games. Some of these have come so close to mimicking other titles – such as Call of Duty – that Epic Games has been forced to close down some of the potentially copyright-infringing Creative maps.

But for the longest time, fans have been awaiting an official first-person mode in Fortnite, which is arguably still the most popular battle royale game on Earth.

In the latest images to reportedly surface, which allegedly show the most up-to-date rendition of ‘official’ first-person perspectives, we can kind of get a picture of the fact that… It’s really not ready for production.

There’s plenty on the horizon for the game – including Fortnite Ranked Play – but will an official first-person perspective-driven mode surface in the near future?
