A new Chapter is underway in Fortnite following the start of Chapter 7 Season 1, which brings a host of new quests to complete—including finding custom Battle Bus Pieces.
The Battle Bus was destroyed in the closing stages of the trailer for the new Chapter, though it’s poised to return in the near future, but your help is required to get the bus back in the air.

Where to Find Custom Battle Bus Pieces in Fortnite
Although dumpsters can be found in most POIs in Fortnite, there are four specific locations to search when seeking Custom Battle Bus pieces.
You don’t need to visit all four of the locations, however, as there are only three custom pieces to collect. Additionally, it’s possible to collect multiple parts in the same POI—like getting two of the three required pieces from Ripped Tides.
Don’t follow the quest marker exactly when on the hunt, as they lead you to the center of the POI, and not specific dumpsters. Once you’re in the POI, just have a hunt around—the dumpsters you need to destroy are the same ones that you can hide in.
Remember to check the nearby area for any enemies that can swiftly scupper your plans, and get ready to make a quick escape if necessary. Additionally, the dumpsters can only be destroyed once per game, so you’ll have to look elsewhere if another player has beaten you to the punch.
Here are the four POIs where you can get custom Battle Bus pieces to complete the quest:
- Ripped Tides
- Battlewood Boulevard
- Sandy Trip
- Paint Palms
The best spots to hunt for the custom Battle Bus pieces are Ripped Tides and Battlewood Boulevard, as they’re easy to reach, offer several dumpsters to destroy, and are home to some decent loot, too.
Make sure you head to Ripped Tides regardless to speak to Dummy by the remains of the Battle Bus, as this ticks off another quest in the thread.
