FlyQuest Survive Demacia Cup Elimination Group

FlyQuest has progressed through the elimination group in the Swiss Stage of the League of Legends Demacia Cup Global Invitational.

FlyQuest overcame Shopify Rebellion 2-1 to progress, in a rematch of their LCS Summer Playoffs clash that saw Shopify Rebellion knock FlyQuest out of contention for Worlds 2026.

How FlyQuest, Shopify Rebellion, and GAM fought for Demacia Cup survival

FlyQuest, Shopify, and GAM were locked in a three-way Round Robin group as part of Demacia’s Cup format, which saw the 0-2 teams compete for one slot in the Round 4 Play-In stage. Each of the three rosters played each other in a Best of 3 to decide who would progress.

FlyQuest first played GAM in the opening Bo3 of the Round Robin group, quickly dismantling the LCP roster in 22 and 26 minutes as Johnson ‘Gryffinn’ Le commanded both games on Wukong and Chogath.

GAM then faced Shopify Rebellion, providing much more fight against the fourth-placed LCS Summer team, but ultimately falling 0-2 once again in 31 and 36 minutes.

The result meant GAM left the competition in last place as the only team that failed to win a single game, a disappointing result despite the disruption of having to integrate loaned Jungler Nguyá»…n ‘tiphat’ Tiến Phát into the roster.

Griffyn dominates Shopify to progress in Demacia Cup

That meant a showdown between FlyQuest and Shopify for the final spot in Round 4 of Swiss, a rematch of the Best of 5 contest that saw FlyQuest fall out of the LCS Playoffs.

This time, however, it was a different contest and a much less competitive one from Shopify’s side, as FlyQuest looked by far the superior side in Game 1.

FlyQuest boasted a dominant Bot lane in Game 1 as Fahad ‘Massu’ Abdulmalek and Michael ‘Cryogen’ Luu took control of the contest, combining for 8/3/8 and 2/2/14 scorelines in the contest.

Shopify did offer some brief resistance in Game 2 after FlyQuest suffered from some self-inflicted wounds in a messy game that got away from them.

However, in Game 3 FlyQuest once again dominated, as they pushed Shopify back in their lanes, drove their economic advantage, and executed teamfights correctly to make sure their advantage was converted to a win.

Griffyn once again starred, recording a 6/0/7 stat line on Shyvana to take the series for his team.

The result means that FlyQuest will face CBLOL’s Red Canids for a spot in the Demacia Cup playoffs, whereas NAVI will face the LPL’s JDG.
