In a new post on social media, FaZe Clan uncovered FaZe Up Next:
When fans questioned whether this was technically the first announcement, the team just wrote:
This was the announcement between the announcement and the announcement
In another post, the social team behind FaZe Up Next asked who should be picked up by the label first. However, it’s not immediately clear if this initiative will target a specific game or if it’s an esports-wide effort. The bio on the social profile reads: ‘The home of future cyberathletics superstars.’
In a matter of hours, the profile gathered thousands of followers, all eager to see what the earliest evolution of FaZe Up Next will look like.
FaZe has long nurtured an interest in developing talent, particularly in the esports and content creation spaces. In the last decade or so, we’ve seen challenges like ‘FaZe 5’ surface, giving everyday streamers and pro players the chance to have their voices heard in a very saturated market.
That evolved into FaZe 1 in 2022, which saw FaZe Proze walk into the organization with a $1 million crypto prize, a brand-new car, and a $250,000 partnership with an energy beverage brand. Unfortunately, Proze departed the organization just two years later when FaZe fell into financial distress.
