In a new official blog post, EA revealed a full 2024 roadmap for EA Sports WRC, confirming a new expansion is coming October 2024 and other key details.
October’s Season Expansion will include “new locations, rally stages, high-performance vehicles, liveries and more.” The devs add they will reveal the complete details about the expansion “in the coming months.”
It also announced that two additional DLC packs will follow. The first will release in Winter 2024, while the second is currently slated for Spring 2025. Among other things, the DLC packs will feature new cars, rally stages, and moments.
Today’s 2024 roadmap for WRC also confirms the Season 6 Rally Pass will launch on July 30 with new liveries, suits, and helmets.
The new Rally Pass will be free for all players, and the moments feature will return. Fans can also unlock liveries outside the WRC Rally1 class. Further, it will overhaul the rewards system, allowing players to customize drivers with complete cosmetic sets rather than unlocking them piece by piece.
In addition to the roadmap, today’s blog gave fans an update about WRC eSports. EA confirmed it is “still in development” and coming soon. The devs are “almost ready” to share details about official competitions.
EA Sports WRC first launched in November 2023, and is available now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
