Where to Buy Armor and Weapons in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Your survivability and damage output in Dragon’s Dogma 2 relies heavily on the equipment you use in an encounter. You want armor that suits your vocation and playstyle and a weapon that lets you go toe-to-toe with any enemies. Here’s where to buy armor and weapons in Dragon’s Dogma 2!

Where to Find Armor and Weapons Vendors in Dragon’s Dogma 2

You can find the occasional vendor selling weapons and armor in Dragon’s Dogma 2 in most settlements, though if you want specialty equipment, Vernworth is your best option in the early and mid-game. In the Merchant Quarter, on the square’s north side, you’ll find a Weapon Vendor, Armor Vendor, and Potion Vendor all in a row.

That said, some merchants in the game sell an assortment of equipment, including crafting resources, potions, armor, and the odd weapon. It’s usually not powerful equipment, though.

In any case, check your map whenever you visit a town or city. You want to find the Sword, Helmet, and Potion icons to track down specific vendors.

Should You Buy Equipment in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

In most role-playing games, you’re provided with plenty of loot drops to keep your equipment progressing steadily through the game. But in Dragon’s Dogma 2, I found that weapons and armor didn’t drop frequently from enemies, chests, or quest rewards. You’ll receive plenty of gold, however.

I managed to grind out a few quests and slay plenty of goblins in the early game zone outside of Melve to scrape together some money for my first armor set. From there, it snowballed into purchasing better armor and weapons in Vernworth and beyond.

Yes, I recommend buying your equipment in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The vendors sell items typically far better than what you’ll find!
