All Dota 2 Esports Nations Cup Qualified Teams Confirmed

We now know most of the rosters and regions that will compete in Dota 2 at the Esports Nations Cup (ENC) as the online regional qualifiers have concluded.

Initially, a total of 88 national Dota 2 rosters were confirmed for ENC, with 16 teams directly invited for the best-performing players.

A total of 32 teams will compete, and now through the qualifiers, another 14 nations have secured their place in the lucrative $1.5m tournament.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia has received a place for the ‘Host Region Wildcard’ and one more team will receive an ENC Wildcard slot.

ENC Dota 2 Qualifiers

The countries to qualify from each of the regional qualifiers are:

  • North America: Canada
  • South America: Peru, Ecuador
  • Western Europe: Finland, Great Britain
  • Eastern Europe: Czechia, Greece
  • MENA/Central Asia: Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan
  • Southeast Asia/Oceania: Philippines, Thailand
  • South/East Asia: Mongolia, Pakistan
  • Sub-Saharan Africa: South Africa
  • Host Region Slot: Saudi Arabia

As expected, Canada breezed through the North American qualifier with big starpower and international experience of players like Artour ‘Arteezy’ Babaev, Kurtis ‘Aui_2000’ Ling and Tal ‘Fly’ Aizik.

Similarly, Peru dominated South America while Czechia and Lebanon both secured the top spot in their respective qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Ecuador recovered from an early loss to Bolivia with an excellent lower-bracket run, beating Chile and Argentina before making a comeback to earn revenge on Bolivia.

Great Britain, led by Dota 2 caster Robson ‘TeaGuvnor’ Merritt, also made a lower bracket run, defeating Switzerland and Belgium before earning revenge on France who had sent them down there in the first place.

For Lebanon, Mongolia, and Kyrgyzstan, Dota 2 is just the second ENC title that they have each successfully qualified for.

Meanwhile, Canada has now successfully qualified for their eighth title so far putting themselves level with Brazil, France, and the People’s Republic of China.

Only the United States has more after qualifying for 10 ENC event so far.
