Deltarune Chapter 6 Is Progressing Faster Than Previous Chapters

There is an update on Deltarune Chapter 6 from Toby Fox.

Deltarune Chapter 5 was announced during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct presentation, and Fox has already provided an update on the chapter that will come after. The news was shared via a newsletter following the announcement of Chapter 5.

Toby Fox Says Deltarune Chapter 6 Is Progressing Well

In the newsletter, Fox revealed that work on Chapter 6 is already coming along well. The following updates were shared: Cutines are making good progress, and all of the basic gimmicks of the chapter have been created. Now, development is focusing on creating more rooms to utilize the gimmicks at play in the chapter. Work on normal enemies and bullets is mostly complete, while work on the bullets of the final battle in the chapter is still progressing. It is noted that this chapter is easier to create than others, resulting in faster development. It’s also possible that work on chapter 7 could begin before the end of 2026.

This game is the successor to Undertale, and all current chapters of the game are available on every platform, including PC. The first couple of chapters were released back in 2018 for free. Fans then waited 7 years for the release of the third and fourth chapters, but the next three chapters are coming much faster. Chapter 5 will be available beginning June 24. Learn more about that here.
