The popular indie game Cult of the Lamb is set to add sex to the game next year.
Yes, you read that right.
The official Twitter account posted on Tuesday morning that it would “add sex to the game” if it reached 300,000 followers by the end of the year. Within two hours the account surpassed that mark, and the account posted to seemingly confirm the feature for the game.
“Looks like we are adding Sex to Cult of the Lamb,” the developers said. “Let’s aim for the very beginning of 2024!”
As you’d expect with an addition like this, some are concerned about what this would mean for the game’s rating, gameplay, and more. To address those concerns, developer Massive Monster replied to a thread on the Steam community.

“Here to soothe some worries,” they said. “‘Sex Update’ has become a bit of a meme in the community, one that a lot are really running with! But we have made sure all the new content (which is much more than what the keyart suggests) adheres to guidelines so the age rating should not change.
“No one is forced to participate in any of the cheekier stuff as depicted in the art either, so if it is something you would rather avoid, that is entirely something you can do! There will be no explicit nudity, what you see in the art will be the most you get!”
Released in 2022, Cult of the Lamb has a Metacritic score of 82 with a user score of 7.8. We’ll see if the scores go up or down at all with this new feature.
