Four Teams Remain at CS Asia Championships After Bumper Friday

The CS Asia Championships 2026 saw both the Group Stage conclude and its Quarter-Finals contests on a bumper Friday, which left only four teams in the competition.

Falcons, MOUZ, MIBR, and proceed to CS Asia Championships Semis

The CS Asia Championships 2026 will open up the arena to fans at the weekend as the tournament progresses to the Semi-Finals stage.

Falcons and MIBR advanced directly to the semi-finals after Group Stage Upper Final wins against Legacy and B8, respectively.

Falcons had one of their cleanest wins so far with the roster, blowing Legacy out of the water 13-7, 13-9. Considering Legacy defeated NAVI last week at IEM Atlanta, the victory was a positive sign for Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen and his men.

For MIBR, a Semi-Final berth came in a more labored sense, but arguably more decisively. It took three maps, but they only lost three rounds in total on the maps they won, inspired by a rabid Felipe ‘insani’ Yuji who blew B8 away.

MOUZ then joined the Semi-Finalists with a 2-0 Quarter-Final victory over B8. The roster lost their opening contest against TYLOO at CAC, but has not looked back since, taking down B8 13-8 and 22-20 after a barnstorming Ancient contest.

Lastly, Legacy booked their place in a chaotic Bo3, which was decided by the second-last round of regulation on the third map of Nuke, in a 1v3 clutch from Bruno ‘latto’ Rebelatto.

The series perfectly encapsulated why The MongolZ and Legacy are so entertaining to watch, but also highlighted the frailties of their styles that make things like that 1v3 possible.

Ultimately, Legacy got the better of The MongolZ, who will be disappointed at their sloppy exit of a rare Tier 1 tournament in thier home region.

The CS Asia Championships semi-finals are:

  • Falcons vs MOUZ
  • MIBR vs Legacy

The winners will progress to Sunday’s Best of 5 Grand Final, with the losers contesting a Third/Fourth place decider.

Parivision, paiN, B8, and The MongolZ eliminated in Shanghai

paiN were the first team to fall out of the competition on Friday, losing 2-0 to this Beta test version of a MOUZ roster. The Brazilian roster failed to back up their IEM Atlanta playoff berth, losing to M80 and MOUZ in the competition.

Parivision fell out of the contest after a 2-0 defeat to The MongolZ in Groups, a sadly now expected result for the first Tier 1 trophy winner of 2026.

The roster’s floor has collapsed, and the internal chemistry of the roster has soured into discordance. Coach Dastan ‘dastan’ Aqbaev and rifler Emil ‘nota’ Moskvitin were seen remonstrating even after their win against Lynn Vision.

While Dastan claimed there was “no need to spin some kind of drama out of it” on social media, the coach has openly discussed the idea of replacing players in the lineup. The days of this roster are numbered.

The two were joined on the plane out of Shanghai by B8 and The MongolZ after the conclusion of the Quarter-Finals.
