Call of Duty’s Season 3 update is on the horizon, and today, Activision dropped an enormous blog post revealing the future of the update. A huge amount is coming to the ecosystem in the coming weeks, including new maps, modes, weapons, Operators, missions, and much more. There are also some questionable bundles making their way into the Call of Duty Store… As usual.
Sloths, Dinosaurs, and… Cheech and Chong?
If you play Call of Duty once Season 3 has dropped, you’ll be able to buy Operator packs that let you play as a ‘stoned’ sloth, a dinosaur that’s aptly named ‘CODasaurus’, some kind of a brain in a jar, and Cheech and Chong, for some reason. It’s a bizarre mix, but I’m sure they’ll be popping up all over the battlefield in no time at all.
There’s a staggering amount of content coming with this update, including four new weapons, a bunch of new gear items, six multiplayer maps, and four new game modes. That’s a sizeable update for any game, but it’s getting to be par for the course for Call of Duty. A huge amount of effort goes into these updates, and it’s clear that the designers are getting to flex their creativity when it comes to these bundles.
On April 3, this super-sized update hits Call of Duty. It’ll reach Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, Warzone Mobile, COD Mobile, and Call of Duty Zombies. I’ve been a Call of Duty fan for many years, and I can’t recall ever seeing an update of this magnitude.
Activision’s teams have been cooking.
