CL4L Qualifies For BLAST R6 Montreal Major and Makes History

CL4L has clinched the NA LCQ ahead of the BLAST R6 Montreal Major and will be the first non-pro team to appear at a Rainbow Six Siege Major in five years. This remarkable achievement comes with a helping of disappointment for other teams, namely C9 Beastcoast, the underdog side that won the BLAST R6 Manchester Major in May.

CL4L eliminated C9BC, OXG, and Wildcard on their way to Montreal. From their respective bedrooms and remote setups, Beeno, Packer, Atom, Gity, and Tristan slammed T1 teams into the dust to secure this memorable achievement.

Believe

CL4L is a non-professional side made up of mostly professional players, but some haven’t even graced a Pro League before hitting the qualification spot for a BLAST R6 Major. It could be the journey of a lifetime if the team can win big in Montreal next month, but that’s a huge ask.

The recent qualification matches that CL4L put out in the NA LCQ were nothing short of electrifying:

The BLAST R6 Montreal Major is a $750,000 tournament that’s set to unfold between November 7 – 17, and so far, some big hitters have qualified:

  • Team BDS
  • Team Secret
  • DarkZero Esports
  • FaZe Clan
  • w7m Esports
  • Team Liquid

A few teams are still yet to find their place in the tournament, but in the coming days, all will be settled.

CL4L making the cut is nothing short of staggering. The team is so rudimentary it doesn’t have any social media profiles or pages on platforms like Liquipedia, it’s just a few guys teaming up to play Rainbow Six Siege together, and ruling the roost while doing so. In Montreal, 20 teams will walk in – will CL4L walk out with a trophy?
