In a recent post on X, Capcom announced that a new Capcom Next summer showcase event is coming on July 1, 2024, beginning at 3 PM PDT.
The event will run for 25 minutes, “sharing info on 3 titles.” That will include the first details on Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, which Capcom just revealed this week.
The other two featured titles are Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and the Resident Evil 7 Biohazard port for iOS and Mac.
In a corresponding new blog, Capcom elaborates on the showcase’s content. Capcom confirms that the event “will not include any updates on Monster Hunter Wilds.”
The event’s description on YouTube via the premiere feature broadens this. It states the event will not include “news or updates for other Capcom titles.” So, fans may not expect any surprises akin to larger showcases.
Capcom recently announced Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster with a release window for 2024. It could potentially get a smaller window or exact date for Capcom Next.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is due out on July 19, 2024, for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will get its new versions on July 2, 2024. The original Resident Evil titles are also joining GOG, with the first title available now via a new bundle. Resident Evil 2 and 3 will release on GOG sometime in 2024, too.

I’m sorry but this event just looks extremely underwhelming. Like it feels there’s no point to this event and they would’ve been better off just revealing these at bigger events. Unless they have some surprise in stall, you might as well just wait for trailers to be released.
