Unfortunately, you cannot play XDefiant on Xbox One. Despite being a free-to-play game that one would imagine Ubisoft wants everywhere all at once, the arena shooter is only available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
That said if you have a PC—not even a top-of-the-line system—you can likely play XDefiant. The overall system requirements, especially the minimum and recommended, are welcoming to most players. To enjoy the free-to-play shooter on PC, download Ubisoft Connect, visit the store page, and add the game to your account. You may then download and install it via your game library and hop into the game!

Can You Play XDefiant Free on Xbox?
While you can’t play XDefiant on Xbox One, you can play free on Xbox Series X|S. You can play XDefiant free on all its supported systems: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s a completely free-to-play arena shooter, though it does have microtransactions, that you can download and enjoy without paying a dime.
On Xbox Series X|S, visit the Xbox Store, search for XDefiant, and add the game to your account to start downloading. Once finished, boot up the game and enjoy!
