Big Walk is full of challenging puzzles to complete, and while those tasks will test your brain power, exploring in the dark is actually one of the most difficult aspects of the game, especially when it catches you off guard.
Developer House House appears to have deliberately made nighttime a challenge in Big Walk, where it’s easy to get separated from your friends and left in isolation in the pitch black.
If you’re getting frustrated, it’s understandable to question whether the cycle can be adjusted, and Insider Gaming has all the details.
Can You Change The Day & Night Cycle in Big Walk?

No, the day and night cycle in Big Walk cannot be adjusted, so you’re just going to have to get used to wandering about in the dark.
While the day and night cycle isn’t a key component in any of the puzzles there are to complete in Big Walk, it does complicate adventuring when nighttime strikes and you’re left wandering about in pitch black.
You cannot turn off the day and night cycle in the game, nor can you adjust how quickly time advances, but the community may create mods to change this.
While it may be frustrating at first, it’s clear it’s a key part of the challenge, and you’ll have to make adjustments to overcome the problems that nighttime presents.
How to Explore at Night in Big Walk
The easiest way to explore at night in Big Walk, unsurprisingly, is to use lights, and there are a few options available to you.
The environment in Big Walk is full of large red and orange balls, which can be picked up and turned on. You can put these back in place to mark where you have been, or you can take them with you.
Additionally, torches are available, which are the best way to explore in the dark, but the amount will be limited, depending on where you are in your playthrough, and you’re also restricted in the amount of items you can carry at one time.
Eventually, you should get used to it, but if it does ever get too much, just wait around for the sun to rise, as it’s much easier to navigate that way.
