Call of Duty Player Gets Stopped Trying to Bring Zombies Monkey Bomb Replica on Plane

In one of 2025’s more bizarre gaming stories, a passenger was pulled to one side by the TSA after a Call of Duty Zombies Monkey Bomb replica was discovered in their carry-on luggage.

When you think of what to pack for a flight, I’m sure you think of the essentials: Clothes, beauty items, a phone charger, maybe a laptop, and a Call of Duty Monkey Bomb statue. Can you spot the odd one out? Yes, the laptop should be left at home. I joke, but what I’m not joking about is a flyer taking a Monkey Bomb statue on board.

The equipment is a vital weapon in a game of CoD Zombies for luring the undead away. But who knew it attracted the attention of the TSA?

One of the Transportation Security Administration’s responsibilities is to check for and ascertain suspicious items trying to be taken onto a plane. It probably took the TSA off guard when they were summoned to deal with a Call of Duty Zombies Monkey Bomb replica.

The official Facebook page posted on April 23 to discuss the prohibited item and the story.

“Our officers at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) had a “What the frag?!?” moment when they discovered this replica explosive device in a passenger’s checked bag. This monkey may rack up points in a game, but in real life, leave the gear for your loadout screen, not your baggage. Replica weapons and explosives, no matter how cool or collectible, aren’t allowed in either carry-on or checked baggage.”

I can’t believe I have to say this, but let’s work harder as a community to not bring gaming memorabilia blatantly resembling a bomb on a plane.
