Call of Duty: Mobile Removed And Readded Apple App Store

If you were thinking of downloading Call of Duty: Mobile on your Apple device on Tuesday, you might have been surprised to see it had been removed from the App Store.

The good news is that it wasn’t a case of dispute or frustration between Apple and publisher Activision. Instead, it simply appeared to be a bug causing the game to be unavailable globally.

“We’re aware of an issue preventing users from downloading or updating Call of Duty: Mobile from the App Store,” the game’s official Twitter account posted early Tuesday. “We are currently working on a fix and will post an update when it’s resolved. Thank you to all our players for looking out!”

A few hours later it was then announced that the issue was resolved and that the game was back up for download.

“Good news! The issue has been resolved and Call of Duty: Mobile is back on the App Store,” the Twitter account said.

The game’s latest season, Ultimate Frontier, is the 11th official season in the game and launched back on December 14. The game itself has been available for download since 2019 and has been near or at the top of download charts since its release.

In addition to Call of Duty: Mobile, Activision will soon be releasing Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. That game is slated to launch on May 15, 2023.
