Treyarch design director Matt Scronce has teased that more Black Ops 2 remastered maps will be coming to Black Ops 7 multiplayer.
The tease came as part of a new Treyarch Games ‘Dev Talk, where Scronce answered some questions from the community. Some questions included the game’s advanced movement, where it was once again affirmed that no jet pack will be in Black Ops 7.
“No wall running, we do have wall jump, I can run up to a wall and I can jump off of it, and there are no jet packs. The technology isn’t quite there yet in 2035, and that’s where you are in Black Ops 7 multiplayer,” said Scronce. He further elaborated that players can consecutively jump a total of three times, with momentum being lost slightly on the second and third jumps.
More Black Ops 2 Remastered Maps
As for more Black Ops 2 remastered maps in Black Ops 7, that question was also directly answered with someone asking, “Can we get some Black Ops 2 remasters that we haven’t seen before?” To which Scronce teasingly replied, “Yeah, you can”.
On launch, three multiplayer remasters have been confirmed for Black Ops 7, which will be Raid, Express, and Hijacked. Surprisingly, Nuketown has yet to be confirmed coming to the game, but it is likely to be released as post-launch content.
As for what other remastered maps could be coming to the game, many fans have been wanting the likes of Plaza and Carrier, whereas a map like Yemen could work well with the new wall-jumping feature.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is scheduled to launch on November 14, 2025, on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S (also on Game Pass).
