After accidentally being posted on the Xbox Store on Tuesday, Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition has been confirmed for a 2024 release by Ubisoft.
“Well, looks like the cat’s out of the bag, dagnammit. Happy 20th anniversary to Beyond Good & Evil,” the game’s official Twitter account posted. “While we cannot wait to show you more about this special edition, more news to come in early 2024!”
In addition to being published on the Xbox Store, the game’s official Twitter account said that a development version of the game was released to some Ubisoft+ subscribers.
“We apologize for any confusion and want to assure our community that this version is not indicative of the final game,” the post said.
As reported in a prior Insider Gaming story, Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition will feature a 4K resolution at 60 FPS along with “improved graphics, controls, and audio, along with brand-new autosave and cross-save features.”
The game will also include new modes like a speedrun mode as well as updated achievements and rewards.
