Bethesda Game Studios has fully unveiled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. It’s a monumental overhaul of the 2006 title that millions of gamers worldwide have been excited to receive, and it’s out now.
During a showcase that broke down everything you need to know about Oblivion Remastered, the team at Bethesda Game Studios lifted the lid on a wonderful remaster. It goes beyond a simple upgrade, with the team explaining that stacks of new dialogue were recorded for Oblivion Remastered to make all races more accurately represented.
But The Quirks Are There
Bethesda Game Studios revealed that new dialogue was recorded for Oblivion Remastered in a bid to modernise the game. It was explained that storage limits 20 years ago prevented unique accents, dialects, and lines from being present to fully represent the diverse races in Cyrodiil.
Now that technology has moved on, Bethesda Game Studios has been able to expand and upgrade The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with the Remastered title, which is available to play now.
This means that every race, from the Khajiit to the Argonians, is better represented in Oblivion. It also means that there will be more to discover, and even veterans of the open-world RPG will find new things and hear new lines.
But for all the new content and dialogue, Bethesda has advised that the quirky NPC lines that so many of us love have been kept in the game. I don’t know if that means the buggy dialogue has been retained, but we can live in hope that the semi-secret segments are still there.
