Battlefield 2042’s long-awaited Season 7 update is due to land on all platforms from March 19, bringing new maps, modes, weapons, and more. There will be a free-play period for the game from March 21 – 24, and any progress made by players trialling DICE’s latest Battlefield creation will carry over into the full game.
Turning Point Time
In a new trailer released today by Electronic Arts, we’re treated to snapshots of the two new maps coming to Battlefield 2042 in Season 7: Haven (Chile) and Stadium (Qatar). Battlefield fans are getting some fantastic environments to blast senselessly through in the Turning Point update – Haven especially looks brilliant, boasting tight-knight alleyways, narrow streets, and plenty of buildings to fight in.
There is a handful of new weapons coming with Turning Point – the AK 5C, the SCZ-3, the SRAW, and the DFR LMG. There’s a brand-new fixed-wing bomber named the XFD-4 Draugr, which is sure to have players wreaking havoc across the new map with traditional high-explosive bombs and EMP devices.
With a series of new events, a fresh battle pass to work through, and plenty of challenges to complete in Season 7, Battlefield 2042’s player base will be kept entertained for the next few weeks. The action kicks off on March 19 on all platforms.
