Larian Studios has just released an update for Baldur’s Gate 3, introducing enhanced graphics on the PS5 Pro and a multiplayer fix.
Players can expect significant graphical improvements for the title on the new console. Quality and Performance modes have been tweaked to provide more detailed visuals while maintaining top-tier performance.
Baldur’s Gate 3’s Quality Mode on the PS5 Pro will support native 4K resolution (2160p) at 30 fps. Performance mode will upscale 1440p to 2160p at 60 fps with the help of PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution). Lastly, the split screen on PS5 Pro will support both 30 fps and 60 fps framerates, depending on whether players choose Quality or Performance modes.
Other than that, Larian Studios has also fixed an issue that prevented players on the PS5 from downloading and subscribing to mods when they tried to load into another player’s multiplayer game with enabled mods. Along with Baldur’s Gate 3, No Man’s Sky and Stellar Blade are now enhanced for the mid-gen console.
In other news, Baldur’s Gate 3’s exec stated that Ubisoft management was to blame for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s sales issues. Also, Larian Studios recently revealed that their next game might not arrive until 2029. What are your thoughts on Baldur’s Gate 3’s PS5 Pro update?
