Astro Bot Creative Director Addresses Potential PSVR2 & PC Releases

During a recent interview with MinnMax, Astro Bot creative director Nicolas Doucet gave fans a clearer view of possible PSVR2 and PC releases for the upcoming game.

Early in the interview, Doucet said that there is “no chance” the new Astro Bot game is coming to PSVR2. They explained that it was “designed for a different medium,” and that Astro Bot “would be a different game” if released on that platform.

Just minutes later, the interviewer followed up about a potential PC launch, asking if Doucet had a message for PC players who are excited to play Astro Bot. Doucet replied that “we want to hear from you, absolutely, we want to hear from you.”

Following a series of rumors, Sony finally announced Astro Bot during the latest PlayStation State of Play showcase last May. The reveal trailer confirmed it will launch on September 6, 2024, and it will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5.

Since then, there have been a variety of updates on Astro Bot details. In a previous interview with Doucet just last month, the creative director also confirmed Astro Bot’s length. They mentioned the game will last around 12 to 15 hours, without counting completionist collecting.

Fans also learned that Astro Bot will feature at least 150 PlayStation cameos, and a leak later revealed the game size fans can expect.
