Arknights: Endfield Homecoming Update Adds Largest Map Expansion Yet

Arknights: Endfield is gearing up for a huge celebratory patch that will expand the game more than ever. GRYPHLINE has announced that Homecoming, the half-year celebration update, is coming on July 16. It’s set to bring a major turning point in the Wuling storyline and boost the size of Endfield’s world with two new maps.

It’s the largest map expansion since launch, and it arrives alongside new Operators, a major overhaul to the AIC system, fresh activities, and a vast slate of celebratory rewards.

Arknights: Endfield Goes Big in Homecoming

At the heart of the Homecoming update is a return to Wuling. In terms of lore, players are headed back ten years after the Very Large Rift devastated the area, but an evolution to the Xiranite Nexus has made containment possible, and players can head back to reclaim Arcane and Wuling survivors to reclaim their home.

Two new maps will emerge with Homecoming: Yinglung Pass and the North Wuling Exclusion Zone. The first map is a gateway into the sealed territory, while the latter is a ‘blight-ridden wasteland’ that never stops presenting a major risk.

Homecoming introduces combat and exploration changes, including a new equipment category that brings about more ‘practical exploration tools’. Players will be able to assume control of Arcane and Liino, both of whom join the playable Operators roster with Homecoming.

For those with a penchant for factory building, Homecoming adds tweaks to the AIC system, supporting gas-state materials and enabling new recipes, machinery, and more efficient production chains.

And there’s meat on the bones when it comes to activities, too. For instance, a permanent seasonal combat mode called Echoes of War is inbound, offering rotating stages and prestige rewards. There are two-Operator battles, timed exploration challenges, and fresh puzzles for players to explore.

Oh, and you’ll also be getting an enhanced photo mode and some major graphical upgrades, including DLSS 4.5 and FSR 3.
