From May 9, Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to pick up Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for free with the Prime Gaming service. That’s a monumental offering and it comes at the perfect time, given that Fallout is one of the most talked-about topics in the world right now. Following the success of the Fallout TV show, which was released on April 10, gamers are going mad for the franchise, breaking peak player count records on some of the most unassuming games.
If you want to pick up the best Fallout game ever made in May, Amazon Prime is the place to be.
One-of-a-Kind
Fallout 3 was the entry point into the legendary post-apocalyptic RPG series for many gamers. It was released by Bethesda Game Studios in 2008, ushering in a new generation of the series that took the existing formula and completely did away with it. It angered die-hard fans of the series, but it was a move that pushed Fallout into the mainstream market and made it much more accessible.
Fallout 3 is, by numbers, the highest-rated Fallout game ever made. It’s my personal favourite and it’s where I recommend people introduce themselves to the series. It might be showing its age a little by now, but it’s still a fantastic game with plenty of replay value.
Thanks to Amazon Prime Gaming, you’ll be able to net Fallout 3 for free this month, along with all the DLC ever released for the game. That includes:
- Operation Anchorage
- The Pitt
- Broken Steel
- Point Lookout
- Mothership Zeta
A fair few games are being made available on the Amazon Prime Gaming service this month, but the pick of the bunch is Fallout 3, which you can get from May 9.
