Grow A Garden in Roblox continues to go from strength to strength and the Summer Update has added a bunch of new Pets to add to your garden.
Pets in Grow A Garden are a valuable resource, providing unique effects that can enhance the crops in your garden, or even provide new rewards and steal from other players.
New additions are regularly made to the game, and the Summer Update on June 21, when Grow A Garden set another player record, saw more pets added. Here are all the details
All Summer Update Grow A Garden Pets, Effects, & Hatch Odds
A total of 13 new pets were added in the Summer Update, all available through different eggs. As usual, some are rarer than others.
The most common Pet to obtain is the Starfish, which has a 50 percent chance of hatching from a Common Summer Egg. The rarest Pet added is the Mimic Octopus, with just a one percent chance of hatching from a Paradise egg.
The table below shows all available pets and their effects, alongside the eggs they hatch from.

| Flamingo | Rare Summer Egg | 16.67% | Occasionally stands on one leg and all nearby plants grow incredibly fast. |
| Seal | Rare Summer Egg | 10% | When selling pets, has a chance to get the pet back as its egg equivalent. |
| Orangutan | Rare Summer Egg | 4% | When crafting, each material has a chance not to be consumed. |
| Ostrich | Paradise Egg | 40% | Grants pets hatched from eggs an age bonus. |
| Peacock | Paradise Egg | 30% | Occasionally fans its feathers and all nearby pets advance ability cooldowns. |
| Capybara | Paradise Egg | 21% | All pets within the radius won’t lose hunger and gain additional experience. |
| Scarlet Macaw | Paradise Egg | 8% | Chance to mutate a nearby fruit, applying the Verdant mutation. |
| Mimic Octopus | Paradise Egg | 1% | Copies an ability from another pet and performs its ability. |
How to Get Grow A Garden Summer Update Pet Eggs
The easiest way to get new pets from the Summer Update is to purchase eggs from the Egg Shop. However, like seeds in the Seed Shop, there’s only a small chance that each egg type will appear.
Fortunately, there’s also another way to obtain the eggs. Participating in the Summer Harvest event, which begins every hour, can provide one of the new eggs as a reward.
Make sure to save your Summer crops for this event, rather than selling from for Sheckles, to maximize the rewards earned at the end of the 10-minute duration.
