There are five unique types of Materia in the game, each with a unique color to denote their type, including:
- Magic Materia (Green)
- Summoning Materia (Red)
- Command Materia (Yellow)
- Support Materia (Blue)
- Technical Materia (Purple)
Each offers a unique spell or ability, including offensive elemental attacks, new abilities when dealing with enemies, healing, summing powerful monsters, and increasing Health Points.
