New Call of Duty Zombies content is why many players buy each release. Black Ops 7 is back with some of the most in-depth Zombies content ever, so we’re checking out every confirmed map, if it has Dead Ops, and more.
We sometimes think Activision forgets how much love there is for the Zombies community. Treyarch masterminded a generation of intense, round-based zombie-killing antics, and fans expect Zombies in at least every new Black Ops game.
Black Ops 7 hears Zombies fans loud and clear, and there are a few maps at launch.
Every Main Black Ops 7 Zombies Story Map
Ashes of the Damned is the main story launch map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
There’s no Tranzit in Black Ops 7, unfortunately, but Ashes of the Damned is a fairly close remake featuring a lot of the same elements, a new Wonder Vehicle, and the return of T.E.D.D.—the iconic bus driver from Black Ops 2’s Tranzit map.
It carries on the Dark Aether storyline, includes returning characters such as Dr. Edward Richtofen, and has new goodies. The aforementioned Wonder Vehicle (Ol’ Tessie) should be a game-changer, and there’s the new Necrofluid Gauntlet Wonder Weapon, Jump Pads, Traps, and many more Zombies favorites and secrets!
Black Ops 7 Zombies Roadmap—Future Maps, Explained
Astra Malorum is arriving as a new main story map in Black Ops 7 Season 1, and it comes with two new Survival Maps: Exit 115 and Zarya Cosmodrome. There will also be “A full complement of maps planned across the post-launch seasons.”
If you’ve played a recent Call of Duty game, you know how it works: New seasons drop every few weeks, and new maps are teased in advance. There might also be hints toward the next map in existing CoD Zombies content, so look out for them.
But thanks to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season One roadmap reveal, we know for sure that these are the next three Zombies maps on the way.
Black Ops 7 Zombies Survival Maps
Survival Maps are a returning addition to Black Ops 7, and the FPS is launching with Vandorn Family Farm—previously seen in the beta test. Then two more are planned to join the dead disco in Season 1.
We haven’t seen Survival Maps since Black Ops 2, would you believe? Treyarch has brought them back, and they serve as perfect folly for Zombies players who want to do one thing: Kill a lot of Zombies in a compact space. No story. No secrets. Just survive as long as you can.
Does Black Ops 7 Have Dead Ops?
Dead Ops 4 debuts in Black Ops 7 and marks the first new Dead Ops content since Black Ops Cold War.
2020’s Black Ops Cold War is severely underrated when it comes to Zombies content. Outbreak was a fun spin on larger Zombies warfare, and there were some great maps. But Dead Ops 3 also had a part to play, and it was everything you love about the top-down variation. Treyarch has listened, and Dead Ops 4 Arcade arrives at launch in Black Ops 7 Zombies.
