Alan Wake 2 To Launch October, Voice Actor Claims

In an episode of the Monsters, Madness, and Magic podcast, Alan Wake’s voice actor – Matthew Porretta – appears to have leaked the release date for Alan Wake 2. In one line, Porretta said, ‘I’ve been working on it – that’s supposed to come out in October, we’re in the middle of working on it now. In fact, I was just in Finland last week – that’s where the company is – Remedy.’

Bizarrely, just moments later, Porretta refuses to give up any further details on the project, stating that he’s under strict NDA and – in keeping with that – he doesn’t drop a single word about Alan Wake 2.

Is Alan Wake 2 Coming Out In October?

So, Alan Wake 2 – which is expected to be as chilling and mysterious as the first game in the series – could be released during October, the spookiest month of the year. In the episode of the Monsters, Madness, and Magic podcast, Matthew Porretta explained:

Alan Wake 2 is going to be really, really good, and it’s hard – it’s scary.

Despite seemingly leaking the release date for Alan Wake 2, Porretta had nothing more to say, even though the show’s host – Justin Young – tried his best to prod the actor into giving something up. It almost seemed as though the host himself didn’t realise what Porretta had said just minutes beforehand, though.

It has been thirteen years since the first Alan Wake title was released, and this continuation – crafted by Remedy Entertainment – is reportedly a faithful expansion of the story of the titular character.

There are high expectations for the survival horror game, which could be released in October 2023. It’ll be dropping on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms.
